UW Hospital

I had planned on being the Dola at the birth of Chieni and Gabe's baby who is due on May 5th 2006. Well...at 2 am I got a call saying the baby's "Bag of Waters" had ruptured. I said something that apparently didn't make any sense. At 5 I got a call to come to the UW. It took me 45 minutes to get out the door. It takes me normally about 7 minutes to dress, make coffee, and get out. I was in s. l. o. w. motion. Came to the hostpital, up to the birthing suite where one person after another came in to tell Chieni to try and get some rest. They came in 20 minute increments, almost enough time to fall asleep, but not quite. Yawn....

I have been here 7 hours and so far....nuttin's happening to report.

Magical Pets

The children were here this evening. Elise: 6, Margot, age 4. Ellie, age 6 and 10/12.

Margot: Let's pretend this horse was my pet.
Elise: No, that isn't a horse, it is a unicorn.
Ellie: It is not a unicorn it's a (margot interrupts)
Margot: It's not a unicorn, it has no corn.

It was a Pegasus, by the way.

Get Shorty

So, there is soooooo much to tell you all. Or you three, or one, or whatever. Anyway, Yesterday I drove down to White Trash Villa to get shorty. Shorty, now Fido or Charlie, is an English Cocker Spaniel

He is very sweet, happy, learns fast and humps everything in site. I took him swimming in the Puget Sound (if you look at the picture, we were at the opening near the sound.) He is quite a swimmer. I was kayaking, looking at Mergansers and Shorty, Charlie, Fido or Bonzo (??) followed behind happily. When we loaded up back in the car, he was happy, shivering and humping my arm.

Another possible name might be "Little Fucker" But that might not fly with our children. Or more accurately, it would fly too well.

My other project is building the "This is The Room that Craig Built" Who is to blame for the dog. I check Craig's list daily for free things to finish our attic. I ran across the picture of the dog and pathetic ad from a family obviously not highly functioning.

Got a new job, my ex has a lawyer, I am building a room, training for a triathalon...Other than than that, not much is new. All enough to keep me going

It has been a reallllllly long time since I have written. My computer broke in November, and let me just tella, I saved a lot of time not having it around. I got a new one, so now I am back to not having any time...gotta go..gotta check email...gotta write my blog...gotta, gotta...hum...
